Fashion Inspiration

I was looking at one of my favourite daily reads - The Cats & Rocking Chairs Blog, which is hosted by the beautiful Morven, when I seen this outfit post.This is easily one of the cutest outfits that I have seen in months. I adore the lace cardigan - sadly, I jsut checked and it is sold out on Pretty Sunday. If anyone knows where I can get a cardigan similar to this one - or anywhere where this one can be purchased- please let me know!!
Morven's sense of style is amazing - her's is a site that I visit on a regular basis and am always inspired by her outfits.  Plus the belt with the feather detail on it is just the perfect accessory to this outfit.

My New Favourite Thing

Apple iPad 2 -in white -16gb Wifi Only

If you follow me on Twitter then you may have noticed about three weeks ago I got very VERY excited.. over the arrival of my iPad!! And the excitement was worth it. It is by far my new favourite toy. It is so sleek and cute, and so handy for using when travelling on buses, trains etc.

I decided to go for the Apple iPad 2 Wifi only iPad in white. I don't need the 3G version as I have a personal MiFi so Wifi is all I will ever needed. Of course I just had to go for a Pink Smart cover - can i just say the Smart covers are amazing! If you are buying an iPad then they are definitely worth paying that little bit more for. I did further treat myself... I brought the Marc by Marc Jacobs iPad Sleeve from Harvey Nichols, and I love it!! I will do a post soon on my favourite apps for the iPad ( as you can see from the first image, the Hello Kitty wallpaper app is already in use!), similar to the post I did on my favourite iPhone apps.

If there are any apps that you love or would recommend then I would love to hear from you - I am always on the lookout for more fun ones to install!

So I have been absent recently from my blog, as my life outside the blogging world has just been crazy busy - the highlight being seeing Take That in Concert! I really have been out quite a bit with my friends, and have been away for a few weekends as well, so the blog has taken a back seat to other things. But now I am ready to get right back into it.
Here are some images from the Take That concert that was on in Croak Park in Dublin- it was honestly the best concert that I think I have been to, and I have been to many, from P!nk to Bon Jovi, from Eminem to The Streets, from The Prodigy to the Kings Of Leon. The show in itself was breathtaking, and when they played the old classics I welled up :-) None of us could talk on the Sunday because of all the singing that was done!

Though P!nk probably was a VERY close second last Summer! She was amazing plus we were in the pit at the front and she is one of my favourite artists, I just love her whole attitude to life & the fact that she just kicks ass and takes no shit from no one!Also she is a lucky lady, Carey is a wee hotty, hmmm tatts and bikes!!

Yes we really were this close !!  :-)

There have been a few tweaks on this blog, and my Tumblr has become a love of mine. Please check it out here - it's called Floralesque and serves as an inspiration board of sorts, and is an extension of the Wordless Whispers series that I had on my blog here.
I have also set up an About Me page, where links to my blogs are all together. It is easier for my Twitter account as I can just link there instead of trying to put my blog addresses on the info. section!
I have been debating for quite a while on which direction I want this blog to go, I love high fashion and day to day fashions, but a side of me really wants to explore... wait for it... preppy fashions and the preppy lifestyle. There is a side of me that is very preppy at heart, I love boat shoes and monogrammed totes - days of sipping pink lemonade beside the waterfront - that would be an ideal day to me. So I will be launching a new blog that will be very preppy specific, it will be from an Irish viewpoint as well - and it will be aptly named Ribbons and BowTies :-) It is a work in progress and hopefully will be launching within the next 2 weeks!

In other news, I cannot wait for this movie!! :-) So excited!!

This shoot is from Vogue, Paris in 2006. It just oozes old school glamour. Shoots like this just make me yearn for the 40's and 50's when there were real movie stars, who were glamourous and beautiful and always dressed as if going to an awards show. I love it.

Is Summer really here?

I want to be on this tropical island! Irish Summers are well generally not sun filled. They are generally sunny for  a few days anad then rain comes back with a vengence!! :-) Yes people if you plan to visit Ireland please bring a brolly! This shoot is just so mouth watering, the colours, the cloudless sky and the sunshine!! I jsut want to be on a secret dessert island and stroll by the sea and dig my toes into the warm sand.
